About Green UPDate

Green UPDate is UP Diliman's environmental knowledge portal, providing access to data, research, initiatives, and expert resources related to the UP Diliman campus environment. Drawing from a wide range of sources and contributors, it serves as a platform for knowledge sharing and collaboration in support of environmental stewardship and sustainability.

Green UPDate was developed by the UP Diliman Environmental Management Office (UP DEMO) as part of its mandate to maintain and update records of the University's environmental resources and to compile research and projects related to environmental management.

By bringing together environmental data, studies, initiatives, and expert resources in a single platform, Green UPDate helps preserve institutional knowledge, strengthen coordination among stakeholders, and support evidence-based environmental stewardship in UP Diliman.

The initiative also advances the University's commitment to sustainability by improving access to information, encouraging resource sharing, and increasing the visibility of environmental efforts across the campus.

Environmental Map

Explore the UP Diliman campus environment through an interactive map that visualizes heat index, building footprints, built-up areas, green spaces, and land-use classifications.

Drawing from publicly available spatial datasets, the map provides campus-wide environmental information while also displaying built-up and green space coverage within a 400-meter radius of a selected location—a distance commonly associated with a five-minute walk. This allows users to explore the land-use mix and spatial characteristics of different areas of the campus at a pedestrian scale.
